WATERCOLOR TECHNIQUES
Have you ever aspired to master your control over illumination, hues, and atmosphere in your watercolor artworks?
Join us on an artistic journey of seven days through the enchanting landscapes of Firenze, where you'll acquire the skills to keenly perceive the interplay of light and color in your surroundings and skillfully translate them onto your paper.
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Gonzalo Ibáñez (b. 1992). Chilean visual artist whose work focuses on the representation of the environment, exploring the beauty in the aesthetic symbolism of the urban landscape, cultural heritage, and its social dimensions within the city. Trained as an architect, he has supplemented his career with studies in aesthetic philosophy, art history, and earthen architectural heritage. He has exhibited in Chile, Italy, Mexico, Peru, and Slovenia and won several international watercolor awards.
COURSE STRUCTURE

The method combines lectures with analysis of artwork, diagrams, and examples. We'll practice the fundamental principles of painting theory and then apply them to our work right away.
You will learn to achieve fluidity and simplify your watercolors, allowing the water to be the main element in your work.
You'll receive personalized, one-on-one guidance for five days to improve your work.

Monday: The power of thumbnail - How to simplify in watercolor.
Tuesday: Capture light and shadow - Tonal structure
