Figure Painting Course
Intensive Figure Painting course focusing on the human form. Working directly from live models, students explore the complexities of human anatomy, gesture, and proportion through disciplined practice and guided instruction.
Course Focus:
Study anatomical structure, proportion, and gesture to accurately depict the human figure.
Begin with foundational drawing and painting exercises to build skills in construction, shading, and color mixing.
Practice alla prima figure painting techniques, working wet-on-wet to capture immediacy and form.
Progress to more detailed work involving underpainting and layered color application for depth and realism.
Schedule: Monday – Friday
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
This course runs all year long. Every unit starts on Monday and the concrete starting date is scheduled personally with the student.
